The Exponential Kind of Love.

We hear the phrase all of the time God is love, it’s actually not just a phrase it’s scripture, written in the epistle of 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

I don’t believe we have fully grasped Gods love for us. God loves us even when it’s not reciprocated. God loves us even when we refuse to acknowledge His very existence, God loves us even when we are bogged down in sin. God hates sin, not the sinner.

Friends God is madly in love with us and I want to prove it to you today.

One thought I have on a continual bases is, God knew even before He created us we would sin and go against everything He stands for, yet He still created us. That’s love.

If we could look down the corridors of time and see something failing, we would not allow it to happen, it would never exist. Gods love breaks the barriers of sins judgement.

I said it last week and I believe it’s worth repeating, God has a vested interest in us. Look at the scripture in John 3:16, For God SO loved the WORLD that He GAVE His only Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him will never perish but have eternal life.

The scriptures are very clear when it speaks about the God kind of love. I like to call it love on swole!

The scripture does not say that God only loves those who believes in Him, it says for God SO loved the world that He gave.

Look at this illustration of an exponential kind of love that shuts the mouths of the religious sects that says God hates certain groups of people. God loves the world, not just believers, the world.

Yes if we accept Christ we are guaranteed eternal life, but us not accepting Christ does not cancel out the love of God toward us.

How can you hate what is made in your image? How can you stand to be separated from something or someone that you created to be just like you?

God loves you more than you know.

The scripture says “What can separate us from the Love of God?”

Paul knew NOTHING could separate us from the love of God because he knew what it was like to be on the other side. When he persecuted the church of Jesus Christ God still loved Him. When he gave the okay for believers to be crucified upside down, he was still not separated from the love of God.

When Jesus came to Paul and knocked him down off of his horse on his way to Damascus to persecute believers that was the love of God being extended to him. Jesus said, “Paul why are you persecuting me?”

Paul’s love testimony recorded in Romans 8 is beyond powerful, 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God does not need us, He wants us and because He wants us He has provided a way for us to be able to come back to Him through the innocent blood of His perfect Son who died for the sins He never committed.

Christ died for the sins of the world! God didn’t send His son for a specific sect of people, God sent His Son our savior for the salvation of the world.

Friend I want you to know that there is nothing that will ever be able to separate you from the love of God, not one thing. God loves us all equally even if we don’t realize it. How do I know? Because He provided a way for every human being on the face of the earth to be saved. Even if you or I never accept His Son, we are still loved by Him.

You can never sink so low that God cannot reach you with His love.

People may throw you away and write you off but not God. People may have said you’ve gone too far, you’re beyond help, not God.

People may say your life is too messy to be fixed, not God.

NOTHING will be able to separate us from the love of God.

God has love to the 10th power, an exponential kind of love. A love that breaks the barriers of sin.

If God hated you would you still be alive? I mean really?

We need to stop using the word of God to badger people, when Jesus never badgered people, He was always moved with compassion and love.

He knew the woman at the well was promiscuous but He didn’t badger her, He ministered to her.

He knew the woman caught in the act of adultery was a sinner but He didn’t treat her like the religious sect treated her, He confronted the self-righteous and told them if they were perfect to cast a stone.

God knows my past and my present, yet He still uses me to minister to you all every week even though I don’t deserve to speak His holy name from my mouth.

He loves me any way! He loves you any way!

He does want us to come to the knowledge of His Son, he wants us to accept His Son as our savior, but even if we don’t, His love is still available to us. Our very existence proves the love of God.

I pray that we would really grasp who God is and what being a Christian is all about. It’s not about hate, it’s not about casting people away because we don’t agree with them. It’s about love, compassion, grace and deliverance.

Let’s embrace the love of God because He loves you beyond your worst mistake.

Gods love for you is STRONGER than His hate for sin, God proved it when He sent Jesus.
